Trupti Patel Doshi is grants manager for The Commonwealth Fund. She joined us in September 2009, from the Asian American Arts Alliance where she was the development director. In that role, she worked closely with the executive director to implement short- and long-term strategies to increase resources for the organization, which was founded in 1983 and serves thousands of Asian American artists and arts/cultural groups throughout New York City. After graduating from college, Ms. Doshi joined AmeriCorp Vista in 2002 as a development assistant working for Advocates for Children of New York. In August 2003, she was hired by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, leaving the following year for New York University's Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. While at Wagner from September 2004 to May 2006, Ms. Doshi served as an intern for the Edward W. Hazen Foundation. She holds a B.A. in Communications and Psychology from Rutgers University and an M.P.A. from N.Y.U. Wagner, with a focus on public and non-profit management and policy.
