Tracy Garber is the program associate for the Fund's program on Affordable Health Insurance. In this role, she provides grant and general administrative support, as well as research support for grant development, analysis of Fund-sponsored surveys, and health reform implementation tracking and analysis. Most recently, Ms. Garber worked for the Hamilton-Madison House in lower Manhattan, a settlement house on Manhattan's Lower East Side where she was the development assistant and volunteer coordinator. In this position, she helped to write grant proposals and research funding opportunities, as well as manage the volunteer program, handling recruitment, orientation and supervision of volunteers. She also updated and developed content for their website, Twitter account, and Facebook page. As a student, Ms. Garber interned for the Christiana Care Health System in Wilmington, Delaware where she worked on a focus group study designed to address health disparities among medically underserved women. She received a B.A. from the University of Delaware with a double major in Women's Studies and English and a double minor in Economics and History in 2008. She is currently enrolled in the Health Policy and Management M.P.H. program at Hunter College and expects to complete the degree in May 2012.
