Robert E. Leu, Ph.D., is executive director of the department of economics at the University of Bern and holds a chair in public economics. His research interests include health economics, public finance, and public policy. A leading policy adviser, Dr. Leu also serves as a director on the board of the largest private hospital group and a large health insurance company in Switzerland. He earned his doctorate in economics from the University of Basel.
