David A. Squires, M.A., is senior research associate for the International Program in Health Policy and Innovation. Mr. Squires is responsible for research support for the Fund’s annual international health policy surveys; researching and tracking health care policy developments in industrialized countries; preparing presentations; coordinating the International Issue Brief Series and other articles; monitoring the research projects of the current class of Harkness Fellows; and tracking the impact of the fellows’ projects and publications on U.S. and home country policy. Mr. Squires joined the Fund in September 2008, having worked for Abt Associates Inc. as Associate Analyst, Domestic Health for the previous two years. In that role, Mr. Squires provided research and analytic support on domestic and international health projects, including conducting statistical analyses, synthesizing literature reviews, writing and editing reports. Mr. Squires graduated
magna cum laude with a B.A. in English and minors in Economics and Philosophy from Bates College. He holds a Master’s degree in Bioethics from New York University.
