Stephen Zuckerman, Ph.D., principal research associate in the Health Policy Center of the Urban Institute, has studied issues related to health economics for more than two decades. His current research interests are state health policy, Medicaid managed care, pay-for-performance, and Medicare physician payment. Prior to joining the Urban Institute, he worked at the American Medical Association's Center for Health Policy Research. Zuckerman received his doctorate in economics from Columbia University in 1983.
