As a Kerr White Visiting Scholar at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Dr. Johansson's work includes working with the U.S. Preventive Services Taskforce on formulating guidelines for NSAID prophylaxis in colorectal cancer prevention, evaluating adult immunization rates across different agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services, and adapting the Consumer Assessment of Health Plans (CAHPS) to an American Indian population. Dr. Johansson's research interests include effects of perceived discrimination on health care. He presently works on a health assessment which seeks to examine the prevalence of perceived discrimination, and the potential association between health status and perceived discrimination.
Dr. Johansson received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1997, and completed a primary care/internal medicine residency at Cambridge Hospital in Cambridge, Mass. in June 2000. He received an M.P.H. from the Harvard School of Public Health in 20012 while completing the CFHU Fellowship.
