For this project, researchers at Wake Forest University will create a chartbook on the quality of medical care for America's racial and ethnic minorities. This comprehensive resource, which will draw upon Fund survey data and numerous other sources, will also highlight promising programs and practices for improving minority health care and reducing disparities. The researchers will include data on minority Americans of all ages, as well as information on patients with limited English proficiency. In addition to raising public awareness of minority health issues, the chartbook will be valuable to researchers and policymakers involved in efforts to eliminate disparities in health and health care. Douglas McCarthy of Issues Research, Inc., who has played a major research role in the development of earlier Fund chartbooks, will contribute to this project. http://www.wfubmc.edu/minorityhealth/focus.htm
