Comparisons of the U.S. health care system with those of other industrialized countries highlight striking differences in spending, availability and use of services, and health outcomes. This project will provide an annual analysis of cross-national data that will be particularly useful to U.S. health policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders as they address issues of health care costs and utilization, the privatization of health care services, the uninsured, primary care/specialty physician mix, quality of care, and the costs and rationing of technology.
