Film is a powerful educational tool that brings new clarity and immediacy to important issues. Award-winning filmmaker Maren Monsen, M.D., will create a documentary that highlights minority Americans' experiences with doctors, health plans, and the health care system in general. To be entitled Worlds Apart, the film, together with a series of educational videos based on it, will inform the medical community and the general public about the importance of cross-cultural understanding and communication in the provision of health services.
