Following on the 1999 cross-national comparisons of the provision and financing of health and long-term care for the elderly, the 2000 analysis will update overall trends in health systems' performance as well as examine differences and similarities in quality of care for the 29 member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Comparisons of health care costs, access, and outcomes will offer valuable insights to U.S. health policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders.
