The first phase of the Healthy Steps' national evaluation will be completed this fall based on data collected during enrolled children's first three years of life. A second phase of evaluation will determine if early life participation in Healthy Steps influences parenting practices and parents' health care-seeking and health promotion activities for their children at age 5. In May 2002, the evaluation team received a three-year, $1.3 million grant from the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality to supplement the Fund's support. http://www.jhsph.edu/WCHPC/Projects/Healthy_Steps/index.html
