Liz Hamel is director of the Kaiser Family Foundation’s Public Opinion and Survey Research team of which she has been a member since 2001, managing a variety of survey projects on a wide range of health-related topics, including people’s experiences in the health care system, opinions of health reform, attitudes and knowledge about HIV/AIDS, and views of U.S. global health policy. She also works on a wide variety of survey projects conducted with the Foundation’s media partners, including The Washington Post and NPR, and she serves as the Foundation’s in-house focus group moderator for qualitative research projects. Liz has been active with the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) and its Pacific chapter (PAPOR) since 2002, and has served on the Executive Council of both organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University.
