Rose Kleiman joined The Commonwealth Fund in June 2014 as program assistant for the Delivery System Reform and Breakthrough Health Care Opportunities programs. She was promoted to program associate in July 2015. Ms. Kleiman provides daily support for these programs, performing a variety of duties ranging from administrative and grants management tasks to writing, editing, and research. During college, Ms. Kleiman was lead EMT for the UPenn Medical Emergency Response Team, which provides first-responder services for the area around the University of Pennsylvania. She was also a research assistant in a biomedical lab at the UPenn Medical School/Wistar Institute. In addition, Ms. Kleiman was a health policy intern at Mt. Sinai Medical School in the Emergency Medicine Research Program, where she researched financial variables related to emergency department readmission rates, and helped formulate the structure and prepare the budget for an innovation grant for the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services. Ms. Kleiman is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she received a B.A. in Biology.
