Laura Skopec, M.S., is a senior research associate in the Urban Institute’s Health Policy Center, where her research focuses on health insurance coverage, health care access, and health care affordability, with a particular focus on the effects of the Affordable Care Act. Previously, she worked on Affordable Care Act implementation at the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Ms. Skopec holds an M.S. in public policy and management from Carnegie Mellon University.
