Daniel S. Weinstein, B.A., is a research assistant at NORC at the University of Chicago. Mr. Weinstein assumes a variety of task and project management responsibilities for his projects, often managing day-to-day project tasks while providing substantive insight into data collection and analysis, deliverable formation, and overall project strategy. Mr. Weinstein also supports senior staff in a variety of tasks including literature reviews, environmental scans, key informant interviews, proposal and deliverable writing, and the production of qualitative research tools such as survey and interview protocols.  Mr. Weinstein has worked on a variety of project topics, focusing mainly on Affordable Care Act implications, state and federal health insurance marketplace exchanges, Medicaid managed care, and dual eligible care integration initiatives. Mr. Weinstein’s current major projects include an assessment of Individual and Small Group Health Insurance Marketplace plans’ premiums and benefits structures, an evaluation of states’ Medicaid Managed Care Oversight and Monitoring processes, and the Financial Alignment Initiative Operation Support Contract. Mr. Weinstein has previous experience working at AARP for both the Massachusetts State office and the national headquarters, first as a health policy intern and later as a campaign advocacy Intern.  Mr. Weinstein holds a bachelor’s degree in Community Health and Political Science from Tufts University, having graduated summa cum laude, and was a two-time Tufts Tisch College Active Citizenship Summer Fellow.
