Dr. Olayiwola is the founder and CEO of G.I.R.L.T.A.L.K, Inc. (Girls In Real Life Tackling A Livid Killer): Minority Girls Talk Back to HIV/AIDS, a successful non-profit corporation that provides HIV/AIDS education and training to minority adolescent females. In 2005, Dr. Olayiwola received the American Medical Association Excellence in Medicine Leadership Award, was elected to the Governing Council of the American Public Health Association's HIV/AIDS Section, and was selected as a member of the Minority Women's Health Panel of Experts of the Office on Women's Health of the Department of Health and Human Services. As chief medical officer of Community Health Center of Meriden, she was responsible for the supervision of nearly 50 physicians, advanced nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.  She is the clinical leader for the organization, coordinating clinical care, research and development, quality improvement initiatives, and incorporating public health initiatives into daily practice. She is using her fellowship training and education to develop and implement health policies that address health promotion and health equity among minorities, especially minority adolescents, and to bridge the gap between community health, public health, and public policy. Dr. Onyejekwe received her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health in 2001, and completed her residency in family practice at Columbia University Medical Center/New York–Presbyterian Hospital in 2004. She received an M.P.H. from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2005 as a CFHU Fellow. She was honored with the degree of Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians in 2006.  E-mail: Nwando Onyejekwe
