This project will develop report cards and test strategies to communicate information about the quality of managed care plans to New York City Medicare beneficiaries. The materials will incorporate comparative information on the plans from the Health Employer Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures of quality of care, as well as results from a Medicare member satisfaction survey. The project will also design a demonstration and evaluation of this information strategy; a second, future phase of activities will be proposed to carry out these activities.
