Support for Annual Meeting and Promotional Activities of the Paul B. Beeson Physician Faculty Scholars in Aging Program, 1997-98

×

The Beeson Scholars program was established in 1994 to provide support to outstanding young medical school faculty members who are committed to research and teaching in aging-related issues. The scholars receive grants of up to $450,000 over a three-year period, and devote 75 percent of their time to aging research and 25 percent to teaching and clinical care. For the fourth year of the program, the Fund will support the American Federation for Aging Research in providing program direction, and the Alliance for Aging Research in conducting annual meetings of scholars and mentors. The program will be cofunded by the John A. Hartford Foundation and the Alliance for Aging Research on behalf of donor friends. Fund support for the program will be for a final three years.
