Impact of Financial and Management Incentives on Quality of Cardiac Care Provided by Managed Care Medical Groups


This Picker Program Grant will survey medical group directors for information on financial incentives and management practices to determine how these factors affect the quality of care received by patients with chronic cardiac disease. Findings will be valuable to public insurance programs and to health plan accreditors, and could contribute to the development of new quality measurements.
