A Managed Care Plan Strategy to Improve Quality of Care for Low-Income Patients

×

This project will collect information on quality of care and access issues for Medicaid beneficiaries and privately insured members enrolled in United Healthcare managed care plans. Under this Picker Program Grant, the project will reveal potential disparities in care between the two groups and identify contributing factors. Feedback sessions with plan leaders will enable them to develop targeted strategies for improvement. The project could provide a model for other private-sector health plan efforts to improve care.
