Supporting National Efforts to Improve Child Health and Development Services

While states have primary responsibility for maintaining and improving child health and developmental services through the Medicaid and Maternal and Child Health programs, federal agencies and national health care organizations can provide valuable assistance in developing effective policies to guide these services. A series of workshops consisting of pediatricians, child health experts, child advocacy representatives, and federal officials will identify options to improve the quality and delivery of child health and developmental services.
