Supporting State Nursing Home Quality Assurance Efforts

×

Although nursing home reform provisions enacted in 1987 have resulted in significant improvements in care for the 1.7 million people who reside in nursing facilities, barriers to quality improvement efforts remain. Building on earlier work focused on state quality assurance activities, this Picker Program Grant will identify promising strategies and provide up to five states with technical assistance to improve their enforcement programs. Information learned from the project will be disseminated to state officials and agencies across the nation.
