National Evaluation of the Local Initiatives of the Healthy Steps for Young Children Program, Phase Three, Year Five

The six-year national evaluation of the Healthy Steps for Young Children Program is assessing the program's effectiveness in reorienting pediatric practices to emphasize child development, educating parents about nurturing their child from infancy onward, and promoting effective parenting. Another evaluation component is measuring the cost-effectiveness of the Healthy Steps approach-critical to its broader implementation. This grant will provide support for the fifth year of the evaluation, during which time data collection will be completed and partial results of the process evaluation will be reported.
