Enhancing Employer-Based Coverage

Working Americans prefer employer-sponsored health insurance over individually purchased policies, but group coverage is often not available to the self-employed or to employees of small firms. This project will study the achievements of large firms and employer purchasing groups for lessons on strengthening or expanding the employer base. The study will profile promising public and private initiatives to expand job-based health coverage. Analyses will inform public policy and business leaders about practical models for making health insurance more affordable for low-income workers and their families. http://www.esresearch.org
