The annual transatlantic forum on quality improvement sponsored by The Commonwealth Fund and the United Kingdom’s Nuffield Trust provides a unique opportunity to build relationships among senior policymakers in the U.S. and the U.K., showcase innovations in quality improvement and health care delivery systems, and facilitate the exchange of ideas on what works and what does not. The 14th conference in this series will examine how comprehensive reforms in the two nations are transforming health care delivery, with a focus on the challenges and opportunities presented by the spread of accountable care organizations in the U.S. and clinical commissioning groups in England. In particular, the participants will discuss provider payment strategies and innovative care delivery models for chronically ill patients. Insights gained from the meeting will inform thinking on U.S. health care reform and the Fund’s programs. The Nuffield Trust will cofund.
