Abby Kahn

Policy Analyst, National Association of Medicaid Directors

Abby Kahn joined the National Association of Medicaid Directors (NAMD) in March of 2012 as policy analyst after completing a dual Masters in Public Policy and Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley. Before joining NAMD, Kahn worked in the director’s office at the California Department of Health Care Services, helping to develop a program management system to track the department’s Affordable Care Act implementation activities. Kahn also worked a summer at Health Management Associates in Washington, D.C., contributing to state health insurance exchange planning services, as well as at the Urban Institute, conducting quantitative health policy research. Prior to her graduate studies, Kahn worked as program and policy coordinator at Healthy Teen Network, a non-profit membership organization in Baltimore focused on pregnant and parenting youth.
