Gretchen Hagelow

Gretchen Hagelow is a former associate program officer for the State High Performance Health Systems program. She was previously program associate for the Child Development and Preventive Care program. Ms. Hagelow worked for WestAM, a private equity firm with over $14 billion under management, from 1998 to late 2004. While there, Ms. Hagelow performed intensive due diligence and analysis for potential investments, researched and analyzed potential investment areas, and designed and compiled report on investment activities. After leaving WestAM, Ms. Hagelow moved to New York to attend the NYU Wagner School. During this period, she worked for several non-profit organizations. She interned with Americans for the Arts, where she analyzed their existing programs and conducted a survey of competing and complementary pro bono programs. She also consulted for Wellness in the Schools, helping this grassroots organization promote children's health in the New York City public schools. Ms. Hagelow holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.P.A. from New York University’s Wagner School.
