Jennifer Sheen Puryear, M.P.H., is currently the associate manager of Youth Initiatives at the American Diabetes Association (ADA), where she manages an e-newsletter, mini-magazine and Web site targeted toward kids and families with type 1 diabetes. She is also a member of ADA's Childhood Obesity Prevention Program Initiative. While at ACU, Ms Puryear served as the health literacy study administrator. In addition, she served as the study coordinator for the Pediatric Indoor Air Quality Improvement Project and provided support to the Early Childhood Caries project. Ms Puryear also provided input into the Clinicians and Community Newsletter. She received a master's degree in public health in 2005 from the George Washington University, where she concentrated in health promotion and disease prevention.
