Keith McInnes

Research Assistant Professor Department of Health Policy and Management Boston University School of Public Health

Keith McInnes is a research assistant professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Boston University's School of Public Health. He contributes to the Veteran's Administration's Center for Health Quality, Outcomes, and Economic Research's work with the HIV/Hepatitis Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (QUERI) and the eHealth QUERI.

Project: Dr. McInnes' project assessed the use of information technology by general practitioners, by using a survey to examine the extent to which it is being used for administration, clinical and patient management. Professors Michael Kidd and Deborah Saltman were his mentors.

Highlights: The biggest highlight has been establishing professional ties with researchers, academics, and policy makers across Australia. I expect these relationships to last throughout my career. . .

On the personal side, my family and I have had a wonderful experience learning about Australia and visiting many different parts of the country. We have had marvellous trips to the barrier reef, the outback, and a number of national parks—we've enjoyed the surf, seen a huge variety of wildlife, and, most rewarding, made many new friends.
