Phuong Trang Huynh

Phuong Trang Huynh is the former deputy director of the Clinical Geriatric Policy Scholars Program in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University. She is also the former associate director of the Fund's International Program in Health Policy and Practice. She has also served as U.S. director of the Ian Axford Fellowships in Public Policy. Before joining the Fund in 2003, Huynh was the grant administrator for the CHRISTUS Fund in the Community Health Department of the CHRISTUS Health System, in Houston, Texas. Prior to joining CHRISTUS, she was a research associate for the Center for Society and Population Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health.From September 1996 to October 1997, she was a legislative associate in the Office of Texas State Representative Dianne White Delisi. In this role, she served as a liaison to the House Committee on Public Health and drafted health policy legislation. Huynh graduated from Rice University with a double major in biochemistry and psychology, and holds both an M.P.H. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health.
