Stephanie Caty is a former program assistant for the Commonwealth Fund’s Federal and State Health Policy initiative. She joined the Fund’s Washington, D.C., office in June 2015, supporting three key D.C.-based initiatives: Federal and State Health Policy, Advancing Medicare, and Controlling Health Care Costs. She had responsibility for administrative tasks, grant support, and some research and writing. Ms. Caty graduated in May 2015 from Harvard University with a B.A. in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology. She also has a secondary field in Global Health and Health Policy. While at Harvard, Ms. Caty was president of the Harvard College Special Olympics and chief educational officer for the Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity organizing large scale events and planning smaller weekly educational modules. She also was a researcher and summer intern for the Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences Center for Systems Biology working on literature reviews, and manipulating and analyzing large data sets.
