Werner Brouwer, Ph.D., is a professor of health economics at the institute for Medical Technology Assessment and the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam. He has published numerous papers on methodological issues in economic evaluations, including measurement and valuation of productivity losses, measurement and valuation of informal care, discounting health effects in economic evaluations, indirect medical costs, and the economic foundations of economic evaluations.
