Following the election of François Hollande as the new president of France, Marisol Touraine was announced as the country's incoming minister of social affairs and health. Throughout President Hollande's campaign, Touraine was in charge of his action plan for social and health care. During the campaign, Mr. Hollande proposed maximum waiting times for emergency care, payment reform for hospital pricing, and expanded access to mental health care.
