This month, The Commonwealth Fund's Commission on a High Performance Health System welcomed a new member, Jon M. Kingsdale, Ph.D., the executive director of the Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority. The Connector Authority was established in 2006 under Massachusetts' landmark health reform legislation. As its founding executive director, Kingsdale leads key initiatives to make health insurance universally available and to reform health care financing in Massachusetts. He received a doctorate in economic history from the University of Michigan and his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He has taught at the Harvard School of Public Health, the Boston University School of Public Health, and Tufts University School of Medicine.
