The Picker Institute has issued a Request for Proposals for its new "Always Event" Challenge Grant Program. The program will provide matching grants to support the development and implementation of innovative projects designed to demonstrate how the Always Events concept can be implemented in practice. Always Events are defined as "those aspects of the patient and family experience that should always occur when patients interact with health care professionals and the delivery system."
