Webinar: What States Need to Do to Enforce the ACA's Health Insurance Protections

The Affordable Care Act includes consumer protections designed to improve the accessibility, adequacy, and affordability of private health insurance. While the law is federal, states are the primary regulators of insurance and many will need to pass their own laws or issue regulations to ensure residents benefit from these protections.

So far, however, only one state has passed new legislation on all of the protections designed to go into effect in 2014. A free 90-minute webinar cosponsored by the Progressive States Network draws on a Commonwealth Fund brief that examines state action on these protections.
