The goal of this project is to further grow and spread knowledge and awareness about how the Costa Rican government has successfully built their health system capacity and provided universal health care. Ariadne Labs will arrange and lead a learning tour to Costa Rica with members of the Commonwealth Fund. Before the trip, Ariadne will engage in multiple planning meetings with senior leadership staff at the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS), who will be hosting the Fund and Ariadne staff members. Fund and Ariadne staff will then conduct a one-week learning tour. Following the learning tour, the Ariadne Labs team proposes to compile both previously published material along with recent research findings and the learning tour findings into a policy brief.
