Caitlyn Duer joined the Commonwealth Fund in 2019 as Grants and System Administrator. In this role, she has primary responsibility for the Commonwealth Fund’s Salesforce system, and is engaged in all aspects of grants management services. Ms. Duer spent the last six years working for nonprofit organizations, most recently (2016–2019) as a grant writer for the Trevor Project which provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth. From 2012–2016, she worked at Demos, a public policy organization that works on social, economic, and political equity issues, with the most recent position of Foundation Relations Associate. At each organization, she created the grants teams’ Salesforce systems and practices from the ground up and proactively trained staff to apply methods to their own data. Ms. Duer graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in theatre; English; and women, gender, and sexuality studies from the University of Richmond.
