Charles Bruner, Ph.D., is director of the Child and Family Policy Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He chaired the Child Health Advisory Committee of Voices for America's Children, a 60-member organization of multi-issue child advocacy groups throughout the country. As chair, Bruner worked with Voices members to develop a policy position regarding SCHIP reauthorization that emphasizes the importance of strengthening the content of coverage under SCHIP and the provision of primary, preventive, and developmental health services.
