Donna Anthony, M.P.H., is the special assistant to the senior deputy director at the District of Columbia Department of Health where she oversees a variety of projects, including capital expansion of primary, urgent, and emergency care and recruitment and retention initiatives for health care providers to treat vulnerable populations in the District. Prior to joining the Department of Health, Ms. Anthony was a senior research associate in The George Washington University’s Department of Health Policy. In addition, she was a research analyst for the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems and the National Public Health and Hospital Institute. Ms. Anthony is a licensed paramedic and has clinical experience in cardiology. She earned both her B.S. and M.P.H. from The George Washington University.
