Kimberly Chang

Biography at time of Mongan Commonwealth Fund Fellowship: Kimberly S.G. Chang, M.D., was most recently site director at the Frank Kiang Medical Center, Asian Health Services, in Oakland, Calif. Dr. Chang assisted with clinical start-up of the medical center, which is a family practice clinic. Dr. Change also provides care for commercially sexually exploited children (CSEC) and is a cofounder and steering committee member of HEAL Trafficking.  She was a trainer on CSEC issues for the National District Attorneys Association and serves on a technical working group for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Children and Families that provides pilot training on human trafficking for health care professionals. Her presentations and publications have focused on cultural competency, human trafficking issues, underserved populations, and global health issues. Dr. Chang received her medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu and completed her family medicine residency at San Francisco General Hospital at the University of California, San Francisco.
