Michelle Fiscus, M.D., FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician who practiced general pediatrics in Franklin, Tenn., for 17 years. She most recently served as medical director of the Tennessee Vaccine-Preventable Diseases and Immunization Program at the Tennessee Department of Health, where she led Tennessee’s COVID-19 vaccine response. She is an associate clinical professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt University. She is a past president of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Pediatrics as District IV chair. Fiscus now works as a public health and health policy consultant for nongovernmental organizations, working to improve health care across the world, especially for children.
