Rimsha Khan joined The Commonwealth Fund in August 2016 as grants assistant, and was promoted to grants associate in 2017. As grants associate, she helped provide administrative and financial management support for the organization’s grant-making activities, including administration of the grants management system. Prior to joining The Commonwealth Fund, Ms. Khan worked as a membership coordinator and executive assistant at the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution, a nonprofit organization that helps global businesses prevent and resolve commercial disputes. Previously, she was a data collection interviewer for HR Directions/RTI International in North Carolina. Ms. Khan received her B.A. in international relations with minors in economics and public health from Simmons College, where she graduated magna cum laude. While at Simmons, she held a series of positions: research assistant to the Dean for Diversity and Community Partnership at Harvard Medical School; administrative assistant at CHMC Anesthesia Foundation in Boston; and constituent affairs intern on immigration and foreign affairs in the office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
