Robert D. Sege, M.D., Ph.D., is professor of pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine and chief of ambulatory pediatrics at Boston Medical Center. His academic interests have focused on the prevention of childhood violence and abuse. In 2009–2010, he served as a member of the Institute of Medicine Committee on an Evidence Framework for Obesity Prevention Decision Making. Sege, a graduate of Yale College, received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and doctorate in biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
