Ross Jones

Biography at Time of Mongan Commonwealth Fund Fellowship: Ross Jones, M.D., was most recently a clinical assistant professor in family medicine at University of Florida in Jacksonville. Dr. Jones seeks to build community programs. To the disparity among African Americans for bone marrow matches, he co-created Gators United for a Cause, which offered a week-long series of educational events that culminated with a drive to add registrants to the National Marrow Registry. And through his work with the Student National Medical Association, he has mentored students interested in pursuing medicine.  Dr. Jones received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2009 and completed his family medicine residency at St. Vincent’s Family Medicine in Jacksonville in 2012.
