Sharon K. Inouye, M.D., M.P.H., is a professor of medicine (geriatrics) at Yale University School of Medicine. Her main area of research focus has been delirium in hospitalized older persons, including diagnosis, risk factors, prognosis, and preventive strategies. The overarching goal of her work has been to translate her rigorous scientific investigations into practical applications that will improve clinical care for older persons.
