Dr. Roundtree practices Internal Medicine at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Greenville, South Carolina. Additionally, she serves as a physician consultant with the South Carolina Coalition for Obesity Prevention Efforts (SCCOPE). Administered by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), the goals of SCCOPE include establishing a state-based obesity surveillance system, developing effective community intervention, and educating health care providers on the burden and management of overweight/obesity. Dr. Roundtree is currently involved with the development of a tool designed to assess South Carolina primary providers' level of knowledge and learning needs related to obesity. Additionally, she serves as the SCCOPE liaison to Honorable Governor Mark Sandford's office. Dr. Roundtree received her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, in 1998, and she completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2001.
