Australian Adults' Health Care System Views and Experiences, 2001

The Commonwealth Fund 2001 International Health Policy Survey indicates that Australians are more satisfied with their health care system than they were three years ago. Findings from the survey—hich also interviewed adults in Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States—how a significant decline over a three-year period in the percentage of Australians calling for a complete rebuilding of their health care system, from around 30 percent in 1998 to less than 20 percent in 2001. Likewise, one-quarter of Australian respondents believed that only minor changes were needed. data brief includes additional analysis of the survey that does not appear in the Health Affairs article.
