ANA DJORDJEVIC

Djordjevic has worked on the last two iterations (2017 and 2020) of Commonwealth Fund's International Health Profiles editing and project managing 19 of the 20 country chapters. Additionally, for the last few years she has been a freelance editor, educator, and event- planner for such institutions and organizations as the London School of Economics, the New York State Nurses Association and Physicians for Human Rights. She is a health justice activist advocating for universal, guaranteed healthcare and has has also volunteered in a variety of health organizations such as the Mae Tao Clinic, run by Burmese refugees on the Thai-Burmese border, and LSA Family Health Service in East Harlem covering a range of tasks from operations to direct service provision. Djordjevic holds a Master’s degree in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from the joint program at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the London School of Economics. Prior to obtaining her Masters, for a decade Djordjevic worked at several human rights organizations such as PEN America and Human Rights Watch. A native of Belgrade, former Yugoslavia, Djordjevic has lived in worked in France, Spain, the UK, Senegal and Thailand and is fluent in French and Spanish and proficient in Portuguese. She lives in Brooklyn.
