Jesse C. Baumgartner, M.P.H., is the former senior research associate in the Health Care Coverage and Access & Tracking Health System Performance program. Before joining the Fund, he worked as a technology development/licensing manager at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (2016–2018), a life sciences consultant at Stern Investor Relations (2012–2016), and earlier in his career as a reporter for the Lewiston Tribune in Idaho. Baumgartner earned his B.A. in journalism and history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa, and his M.P.H. in Health Policy and Management at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. He is also a CFA® charterholder.
